The Bordeaux metropolitan area constitutes the 6th-largest urban area in France with its population of 1,105,000 inhabitants. The historic part of the city is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It figures an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble of the 18th century. The beauty of the city will blow you away! Bordeaux is also the perfect place to go shopping! Walk along the Rue Ste-Catherine, the longest pedestrian street in Europe, or along its little cobblestone streets and find whatever you’re looking for and more!

Many events take place in Bordeaux, all year long! As Bordeaux is the world's major wine industry capital, it is the home for the world's main wine fair, Vinexpo. But there are many other events such as The Epicuriales, the Christmas market, the Music Festival, the national celebrations of the 14th of July…So come celebrate!
Bordeaux is also the capital of the beautiful Aquitaine region! Drive less than one hour, and admire the vineyards and châteaux, go surfing on the Atlantic coast and taste some oysters !
